SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and blog always and should go hand in hand. Blogger has now been a series of change most probably to compete with it's nearest rival WordPress. For those who don't know the much much importance of Seo , it is what google casts when any user searched on google related any topics to your title. The more the SEO exposure of your blog , the more is organic traffic from google. One of the best use to use SEO is using Meta Tags . Meta tags give your post a brief detail and helps to gain your post some popularity or increase in SEO exposure. Now you don't have to hack through your template and try meta tags instead of going for it , luckily blogger team has finally made it to blogger platform and you can give your blog a SEO boost with the Use of meta tags .
Go to Settings / Search preferences, Under Meta tag / Description, click "Edit" and select "Yes" Now write a meta description about your blog in space provide.

While writing a new post in blogger post editor then you will find a new option called "Search Description" under "Post Settings", where you can add a short description of your individual post.

How to Add Meta Tag And Description:-
Login to New Blogger Dashboard. Make a new post in post editor, if you see the Search Description at right menu bar then there is no need to add the the following code in template. If you don't see the Search Description option in menu bar then go to Template / Edit HTML. Download the full template before making any changes in it. - Find following piece of code in blogger template.
